Death and Liberals

“…what's happening politically on the Left, the other big idea there besides malignant narcissism, is existentialist nihilism. It's the idea that nothing really does matter; that humanity is in and of itself a problem...

“Socialized health care and the idea that everything would be better if the state ran your lives is because, of course, humanity can't be trusted. The average person can't be trusted."

--Tammy Bruce

I have been trying to say the same thing for the past several months. I’m going to put that quote in my memory. When you get right down to the basic structure of modern liberalism, what do you find? You find death, depression, and anger. There is simply nothing else at the root of liberalism. That, of course, might sound rather extreme and altogether baseless on my part. However, as you know, I never make a claim without backing it up.

Liberalism is based on the belief that we are wrong. We, humans, are wrong in life, our beliefs, and our desires. We are wrong in life because we should not be here. Of course, this is backed up by the Left’s thirst for abortions that kill babies, euthanasia that kills older folks, and physician-assisted suicide that kills anyone in between those two age groups. Liberalism embraces death as a goal we should aspire towards. We don’t want to be a drain on our mothers (abortion), society (euthanasia), and our loved ones (suicide). Liberalism embraces death.

Of course, there must be a reason they embrace death. Liberals are depressed and angry. It only takes someone who listens to “foaming at the mouth” Randi Rhodes for five minutes to understand that fact. Why are liberals depressed and angry? Liberals are depressed and angry because they look at the world differently. Humanity is wrong. Humanity is evil. We, human beings, are destroying the world. We invade nature with our cities. We promote our needs over those of other humans, and we don’t even care that we are doing this. Environmentalism is easy to explain at this point. Humans are the cause of all that is wrong with the environment according to the standard environmentalist. If humans were to cease to exist, Earth would be in a perfect state where everything coexisted perfectly (except humans). That is why liberals want to kill off the population with measures such as population control. Of course, those of us evil humans who destroy the environment also destroy other humans. The poor don’t have the luxuries of the rich and so on and so forth. Not only do we humans damage the planet by existing, but, according to liberals, we also make it miserable for other humans, who should not exist in the first place, to exist. It is a never-ending cycle of misery and injustice.

And what of our desires? Liberals believe gas prices are too low (compared to Europe), our cars are too big (compared to Europe), our people are too fat (compared to stressed-out liberals), our businesses make obscene profits (compared to Europe), our military is too strong (compared to Europe), and so on and so forth. In other words, everything we enjoy and desire is obscenely wrong in this obscenely arrogant nation of ours that believes it has a right to be happy.

To sum it all up, liberalism is based on the belief that we are wrong. It may sound stupid and simple, and you would be right. Why we are wrong in the eyes of liberals goes even deeper than that. In fact, liberalism goes deep into philosophy and such matters that we won’t get into on this blog. Nevertheless, when you remove all the extraneous fluff around liberalism, it boils down to one word – wrong.
