Speaking of Tolerance...

...Ted Kennedy believes that a vote to protect traditional marriage equates to bigotry..."plain and simple."
"A vote for this amendment is a vote for bigotry pure and simple."
That means, according to Kennedy, anyone who would not support gay marriage is a bigot. Taken to it's logical conclusion, Ted Kennedy believes that the vast majority of Americans are bigots. After all, marriage protection legislation have passed almost everywhere they have been floated..even in Oregon.

One can't even refer to it as a partisan issue as defense of marriage acts have passed overwhelmingly, by much greater margins than the split between parties in most states. Here in Minnesota, a traditionally blue state, support for defending marriage hovers at about 70 percent. Many of those, like me, would support some measure that provides a level playing feild for gay couples that does not infringe on marriage, but that doesn't matter to Kennedy.

I and the rest of this blue state are a bunch of heavy breathing bigots. One wonders why Kennedy would even want to represent a population he detests so much.

With arguments like this, the Democrats are sure to win the hearts and minds of the American people this fall. (Ahem.) [Ed. - What is it about election years that makes Democrats become completely unhinged?]
