...an online report accuses former President Carter of meeting with 10 of Osama Bin Laden’s brothers early in 2000, Carter and his wife, Rosalyn followed up their meeting with a breakfast with Bakr Bin Laden in September 2000 and secured the first $200,000 towards the more than $1 million that has been received by the Carter Center.Powerline points out that indicting Carter for accepting the money as a way of tying him directly to Osama bin Laden is about as silly as Michael Moore's attempt to slander Bush the same way. The bin Laden's run a reputable business that has no recorded connection to their small-penis relative.
What should be noted, however, is that Moore's charge against Bush is just as apt, if not more so, in the case of Carter. And convention enthusiasts will remember that Moore sat right next to Carter at the last DNC.
Any chance we will see the same amount of indignation, from Moore, aimed at Carter as that which was aimed at Bush? Will there be a sequel to Farenheit 9/11?
Somehow I doubt it. Call it a hunch. Moore's righteous indignation is reserved for those who don't vote Democrat. Carter could collect $10 million from Osama himself and Moore wouldn't say a word.
Such is the state of the Left, where a total inability to stay away from their own traps rules the day. No one on the Left will even mention this except to perhaps to defend Carter. They will likely be the same people who lambasted Bush for similar relationships.
