So, the scum sucking bottom feeder that is the leadership in Iran sent a widdle wedder to the White House. A letter that was top news everywhere, even before bits had been released.
Here are some headlines and excerpts:

Article after I article I read and couldn't find any with the headlines, "Psychotic child hanging, woman stoning freak, sends worthless letter."
Or, "volatile a-hole, with delusions of grandeur sends typical posturing letter filled with worthless comments and unwanted advice from a nut job."
That this letter sent by a man who says ,"We believe a return to the teachings of the divine prophets is the only road leading to salvation," is being held up as a olive branch, defies logic. It's smart politics, and it's a good strategic move on Iran's behalf, but the letter itself is worthless solely due to the fact of who wrote it.
"Mahmoud Ahmadinejad did not disclose what he wrote to Bush but the letters very existence appears to offer Russia and China handy additional justification to block the U.S. drive for sanctions against Iran, while diplomatic channels remain open."
Why is that? The "letters very existence"???? Huh?????The letter could have said,"Hey Bush boy, I'm gonna clean your clock. And blow up the entire U.S."
Why the rush to embrace a letter from a man who has threatened to wipe an entire nation of people from the face of the earth? From a man who hangs people for being gay? From a man who wants to drag his country even further back in time to the days of the Prophet?
I've read the letter or rather that which has been released, and find nothing in it that leans towards peace, or the want of peace. Instead, I see a man who still denies the Holocaust happened, and who criticizes, when he should look in a mirror himself and see the monster he is.
I spit on him, and his letter. Ptooey.

Are you serious? For believing that his God is God, much like all people believe their God is God, we should notch another mark on our "Hate Ahmadinejad" post?

I guess I'm suppposed to imagine how peaceful the planet would be if we just allowed him to run roughshod all the while refusing to say anything that might be construed as war-wanting.

If it makes you feel good to be "sensitive" to that, wonderful. After witnessing that approach fail for 30 years, I prefer not too.
Then again, maybe this is all piss in the wind. As soon as the UN gets done raping children in other parts of the world, I'm sure they will get right on this one.

What I was saying was that we should call him out on the illegitimate things he does, not for being a Muslim. Using someone's belief that Mohammad was God's prophet as further justification for why we should disregard everything he says is just ridiculous. That's just the morally equivalent inverse of what Islamic extremists do. Instead of sinking to their level we can prove we're better than them.
We do not want to go to war with Iran, but we must unfortunately keep that option on the table. And until then we should denounce the awful things he does and work toward a non-military solution without all this dick swinging.

Can you show me where I say that the letter is worthless simply because he's Muslim. Hmmmm.There are many reasons to dismiss his letter, that's only one.
If they return any further into the "divine prophets teachings", the women will be wearing leg shackles. My point being that he's as backasswards as they come Dave.His letter was nothing but a smarmy political stunt,offering nothing for a peaceful resolution, and in fact was more of a chastisment of our way of life. You know the way of life that allows people like you to say the things you do.
