Could the Kumbayah Era be Coming to a Close?

For months on end I have been trying to warn the children at The Blue Voice that they and their far-left agenda will be the first ballast thrown overboard if the Democratic Party has any chance of winning in 2006 and 2008. Naturally, whenever I mention it someone retorts that I am the only radical they are aware of and that I needn't worry about the future of their party.

While they might not be concerned, and generally discard my warnings as the rantings of a right-wing digital brownshirt guy, it will be much harder to ignore this source.
The liberals' hope that Democrats can win back the presidency by drawing sharp ideological contrasts and energizing the partisan base is a fantasy that could cripple the party's efforts to return to power, according to a new study by two prominent Democratic analysts.
The report quoted above is loaded with reason and is sure to be completely ignored by the liberal establishment, which seems completely dedicated to it's political suicide pact. There is an old adage that that says the most incompetent person will generally be the same one that is most convinced of their competence. In other words, blind to their own shortcomings and resistent to criticism or advice.

That is the condition of the modern left to be sure, completely ignorant to the fact that they are the anchor slowly dragging down the Democratic Party. Meanwhile, party leaders and behind the scenes operators, slow on the uptake, are finally starting to see the big picture.
On defense and social issues, "liberals espouse views diverging not only from those of other Democrats, but from Americans as a whole. To the extent that liberals now constitute both the largest bloc within the Democratic coalition and the public face of the party, Democratic candidates for national office will be running uphill."
So much for the technical explanation. James Carville puts it in language that even the densest liberal can understand.
“No Kumbayah crap.”
Once again I predict that Democrats running in upcoming elections will distance themselves from the liberal wing of the party. In fact, Hillary Clinton is ahead of the curve and has been doing it for months. She will only be the first of many.

But the liberals no longer have to take my word for it. They need simply ask their own party.
