Ahhhh Washington. A wonderful state in the pacific northwest that boasts lovely vistas, more Starbucks per square mile than any two states combined; a place where all of the people live in perfect harmony with their environment and each other. That is...unless you're Ken Potts and happen to support the war effort, the president, and the 101st Airborne. In that case all bets are off.
...in the last year the mailbox has been blown up twice with fireworks. The house has been egged. Paint has been thrown on the house too. The flags have been torn down and ripped up more than once.
And the 101st Airborne flag has had the word "murder" and a swastika written on it with a permanent marker.
...But the biggest insult to this house with a permanent Bush-Cheney placard attached to the second story and a collection of mostly Republican election signs in the side yard, is the spray paint someone left on his vinyl siding this past weekend.
In two-foot tall letters on the side of his house facing Meridian someone painted "Bush Nazis."
"Where do they get off calling the President of the United States a Nazi," he said.
Where do they get off? Where do they get off? I'll tell you where they get off Mr. Potts, you deranged Chimpy McHitlerburton automaton marching to the beat of the war-mongering genocidists in D.C.
They are the enlightened. The elite. They are better than you. They can't be bothered with pesky sheeple issues like private property, or freedom of speech or expression. Stomping on those backward American novelties pales in comparison to the damage you do every day by daring to post your Nazi signs of support for the war, the troops, and the president on your very own property.
How dare you Mr. Potts. How dare you flick the fickle finger of "freedom" at the tactics of the left. It's about tolerance. Once you get that through your thick skull you will understand why it is necessary to vandalize your property.
They are simply trying to help you.
