...even more troubling is the vitriol unleashed against those who dare to consider the notion that homosexuality is not an immutable characteristic. Pro-gay activists regularly charge that messages such as those shared at Love Won Out are "vile," "dangerous" and "deplorable."
I'll give you three guesses. She would be the same author that regularily displays blatant bigotry towards anyone of the Christian faith and is a disciple of the fruit fly study whose own authors caution is proof of nothing.
The article, "Liberal Intolerance and the Freedom to Choose" is quite good actually, and makes some salient points regarding the hypocricy of liberals when it comes to "tolerating" opposing viewpoints. Take this passage for example.
...the ongoing controversy surrounding Focus on the Family's upcoming Love Won Out conference on Oct. 29 in Boston reveals the hypocrisy of liberals who call for "tolerance" and unquestioned acceptance of "diversity" yet attempt to stifle all opposing views to their politically correct, pro-gay agenda. As a result, another liberal mantra – the freedom to choose – is denied to those seeking to walk out of unwanted homosexuality.
Interesting to consider that shall-remain-nameless militant homosexuals will go so far out of their way to discredit groups like Love Won Out. While it may serve as an anvil for their own frustration or a scapegoat for their own lack of scientific evidence, forgotten are the souls who take advantage of what Love Won Out has to offer by choice.
Are attendees there by force? Of course not. But that won't stop militantly pro-gay forces from denying them the opportunity, freely chosen, to change a lifestyle that they obviously don't care to continue. They are the sacrificial lambs of the pro-gay lobby, who is terribly threatened by any notion that being gay is anything but a God-given cross to bear.
Indeed, the current consensus in the scientific community – even the left-leaning American Psychological Association – is that homosexuality is likely caused by a complex interaction of biological, psychological, and social-environmental factors.
While many homosexuals have come to the conclusion that they were "born gay," there exists a surprising and not insignificant minority of gays and lesbians who recognize that sexual orientation is, in fact, quite changeable.
For example, Kate Kendall, director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, argues in the gay magazine Frontiers that sexual orientation is not fixed. Lesbian author Camille Paglia argues that homosexuality is not normal and that it is an adaptation – not an inborn trait.
Apparently, the reality that people can change their sexual identity isn't just a right-wing Christian thing.
Shhh...Don't tell that to a certain Gay Geuvara. She would tell you that the only thing she is intolerant of is intolerance, all the while blind to her own attempts to deny people very much like herself the chance to choose their own path.
UPDATE: The fascist right-wing Christians reach is so far that not even confused birds from the poles are immune. Question. If gay penguins are proof that homosexuality is genetic, what does it prove when one changes it's mind?
