“This is the Katrina administration,” read prepared remarks posted on 2004 Democratic presidential nominee’s website, www.johnkerry.com. “Katrina is a symbol of all this administration does and doesn't do,” read Kerry’s script, portions of which were included in an e-mail to supporters that ended with a fundraising appeal.
Oh, there's plenty more. Ironically, Kerry's own remarks and strategy are an excellent "symbol" of all he "does and doesn't do." What he doesn't do is bother to lay out in any way, shape, or form, how he would have handled things differently. What he doesn't do is show any personal quality beyond the ability to blame Bush for anything he can dream up. What he doesn't do is demonstrate any desire to move beyond the doom and gloom politics of the far left.
What he does do is, once again, show that John Kerry will spare no opportunity to exploit the suffering of others to raise a dime or score a few points in the polls. What he does do is again demonstrate an uncanny ability to pass judgement from the bleachers.
Beyond that, does John Kerry actually do anything? While the question may be asked specifically about the senator from Mass., it could also be asked of the left in total. It is Kerry's utter lack of an imagination, message, and vision that characterizes the entire anomolous group.
It is no wonder that the other Democratic presidential hopeful is pretending they don't exist.
