Those loony liberals

SAN FRANCISCO Anti-war activists in San Francisco have submitted signatures backing a ballot measure they hope will put the city on record opposing military recruiters in public high schools and colleges.
Organizers of the initiative admit the effort is mostly symbolic. The non-binding 'College Not Combat' resolution would encourage city and university officials to keep recruiters off school campuses, even if the move means losing federal funding. It could be on the city ballot in November. It also encourages schools to create scholarships and training to reduce the military's appeal to youth.

I.E HOW DARE YOU SUPPORT THE TROOPS? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
